Engineering

Engineering is a possible support Skill you can level up during gameplay.

It's starting value is:

Being a support skill, it can be leveled up to 200%, however, it can only be leveled by using the skill, not by putting Skill Points into it.

Higher levels unlock higher tier crafting, as well as give you a better condition of crafted items[unconfirmed]. The very same actions level up the skill, though harder actions (like crafting higher tier items) will give you a higher chance to improve the skill.

Crafting items too low of a tier, far beneath your skill level, will never level up your Engineering. You will need to find harder and better crafting opportunities to level up that skill to its maximum.

Crafting high-tier blueprints inside the core gives you even more Experience in the skill!
