Science is a possible support Skill you can level up during gameplay.
It's starting value is:
Being a support skill, it can be leveled up to 200%, however, it can only be leveled by using the skill, not by putting Skill Points into it.
Each % increases the chance of gaining more materials from disassembling items, weapons or armor. The very same actions level up the skill, though harder actions (like disassembling higher tier items) will give you a higher chance to improve the skill.
Disassembling items too low of a tier, far beneath your skill level, will never level up your Science. You will need to find harder and better disassembling opportunities to level up that skill to its maximum.
