Weapons are one of the cornerstone items in Ashes of Phoenix. Almost nothing is as important as the choice of your weapon, as well as correct usage of such. In most cases, the weapon entirely dictates the play style you will follow.
All weapons are categorized as in one of the 5 Weapon Skills, them being Small Guns, Big Guns, Energy Weapons, Melee as well as Throwing. Exceptions to this rule are spears. Which depending on the firemode chosen, can either be used as a melee weapon, or a throwing weapon.
